terms & conditions for class participation
Before You Come to Class
Please do a quick check before you head out the door. If anyone in your household is feeling unwell—fever, chills, shortness of breath, or anything that would keep you home from work—please stay home and schedule a make-up. We’ll be here when you’re feeling better.
Phones & Cameras
Phones stay out of sight for the entire class. No photos, no video, no FaceTime, no exceptions—for every adult in the circle.
This is one of the most important things we do.
When phones disappear, adults stop documenting and start participating. Children stop performing and start exploring. The music becomes the focus, and everyone in the circle can be fully present with the people right in front of them.
If a caregiver is attending on behalf of a parent, we understand the impulse to record or FaceTime so the parent can see. We ask that you don’t. Your child needs you here—singing, moving, and participating. That’s what makes this work. The parent will see the difference when the music shows up at home.
From time to time, our team may take photos during class for use on our website and social media. We’ll always let you know in advance. If you’d prefer your family not be photographed, just let us know and we’ll make sure of it.
Instruments
Instruments and props are available for use during indoor classes. Families who prefer to bring their own are welcome to do so.
Class Changes & Cancellations
From time to time, circumstances may require the director to move a class outdoors or online. If this happens, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. There are no refunds or credits when class format changes, but the music continues—and so does the community.
A Note for Caregivers
If someone other than you—a partner, grandparent, nanny, or friend—is bringing your child to class, it’s your responsibility to make sure they’ve read and understand these guidelines before they arrive.
Our teachers are focused on leading the music, and class time isn’t the moment to walk someone through the policies. Please make sure every adult who attends with your child knows what to expect and how to participate.
We love Ms Libby! Both of my kids love spending time with Ms Libby and her love of music is infectious. My 16 month old loves going to class and learning how to make music with different instruments (and his body!). We started going before he was even moving / grooving so it is great for kids of all ages!
